Qur'an & Athan Competition
Come and join us for this momentous occasion - the Qur’an, Athan, Arabic, and Islamic Studies Competition which will be held on Saturday, 3/15/2014, at 5:00 P.M. Please practice with your child/children by focusing on the tajweed, recitation, and memorization. Your child will need to study the following surah, and listen to the Athan from the list below:
K1: Surah Al Masad
K2: Surah Al Qari’ah and Al Adiyat
Grade 1: Al ‘Alaq
Grade 2 & 3: Al Buruj
Grade 4: Al Mutafifeen
Grade 5th & 6th: Nuh
Grade 7-12th Al Wa’qiah
Grade 2 & 3: Al Tariq
Grades 5th& 6th: Al Jinn
Grades: 7th-12 Al Rahman

The Importance of Education in Islam: Ibn Mas'ud (Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (swt) said: The position of only two people are enviable; the person whom Allah bestowed wealth empowering him to spend it in the way of righteousness, and the person whom Allah gave wisdom with which he adjudges and which he teaches to others.
